Our club is currently offering different types of sessions:
- Sharks training sessions: our standard sessions for our members, they are a combination of technical exercises, race drills, etc. and last 2 hours (see timetable below) and are great for general fitness as well even if you don’t join race days
- Festival sessions: there are lots of local festivals organised through Spring and Summer (Bradford, Leeds, Skipton…), where companies or charities take part to raise money for worthy causes. If you are taking part in one of these events, we can get you up to speed with festival sessions: they last 1.5h and include all the equipment you need. Minimum amount of people is 10 adults, maximum is 20
- Company sessions: we can also provide training sessions or half-day activities for companies for team-building purposes, use the contact page to drop us a message if you would like more information

All the equipment (paddles, buoyancy aids) is provided.
Keep in mind it is a water sport, therefore we’d recommend you only take with you things that you don’t mind getting wet, and eventually a spare jumper to change at the end of the session. You will be able to leave a bag in our secured facilities.
Oh, and last but not least: we don’t row, we paddle! 🙂
SHARKS TRAINING SESSIONS
These sessions are for Yorkshire Sharks members.
Current training sessions are held on:

Sessions last 2h as it includes:
- Start time: Meeting at the gate
- 20 minutes: warm-up, safety brief, taking the boat on the water
- 1h30: on the water, paddling and coaching time
- 10 minutes: stretching, cool-down, and bringing the boat back on site
As we have a few boats, we need to know who is coming in order to have enough helms and coaches available, therefore you will need to sign up on our training app, Spond, to book a session.
We offer 3 free sessions for everyone to try out before becoming a member, so come and give it a go.

university sessions
We organise some sessions with Bradford University Students (and friends).
Sessions can be arranged during weekends for groups up to 44 people and can also be mix-ability sessions.
If you are interested, contact the club and you will receive details about the next sessions, as well as a medical form to fill and send beforehand.

COMPANY SESSIONS

We can offer tailored training sessions, with qualified coaches, to suit your needs, whenever is convenient for you, whether it’s for a one-off session or to prepare for a festival.
